Baby it was cold this FW. And, since I have been lucky enough to attend “the shows” for the past ten years, I noticed a change. The hustle and bustle has shifted. It was quiet. There were still full shows, but something felt strange? Could it be that we aren’t sure what is going to be happening this coming fall with NYFW moving out of Lincoln Center and the shifting of sponsors? Was it the cold? Or was it something else?
When I first started “doing the shows”, I would write and share the same day or maybe the next with my “list” and it was a reasonable expectation. Now, at the shows, I am seeing twitter feeds of the looks while we are there, and, I have images from the show as I am walking out the door. Maybe this is why it was so quiet this week? Technology has changed our jobs as stylists and seekers of new inspiration for fashion. So my challenge is to give something you haven’t already seen?
My solution is to give you the history and the story behind the style and/or designer…the designers perspective…So, stand by. My original vision for Rebecca Luke Style Blog holds true. This is exactly what I said I wanted to start sharing with you years ago. I am not trying to race with technology. You won’t get this information from me immediately, but you will get a good story from my perspective. RL
P.S. Check out my Fall 2015 Favorites on Pinterest. It includes images of shows I attended and people I interacted with and what I love in general for Fall 2015. I’ll keep adding to it as I see fab Fall for 2015.
