Alexandra Grecco Shoot | Simple Chic

I love photo shoots, but let me tell you…it’s not glamorous for the crew. However, that being said, the results are most always glamorous. This last August and September I worked on several shoots and the teams on all them were fabulous! I posted the short fashion film, here is another project.

This shoot was more of beauty shoot, and the talent of Gregg Hubbard is truly showcased in the hair & makeup. The entire shoot was inspired by the retro chic designs of Alexandra Grecco.

I first discovered Alexandra’s pieces at one of my favorite Greenpoint, Brooklyn style stops, Dalaga.

Simple and chic, Alexandra’s pieces were a perfect match for our gorgeous and gracious model, Larissa. Larissa is a model/actress has been in films such as 25th Hour and Cop Out. She works regularly in NY theater, and gives back to the community mainly by highlighting the artist community of her native country, Slovenia. A lovely person who has a beautiful heart, check out the organization she help to start called, The Wayward Pen.

For this shoot, I also loved the idea highlighting the retro turban in new way. I interpreted the trend by using netting instead of silk or cotton and am happy with the results on film.

Shot at Splashlight Studios by our amazing photographer Brian Sassman, our team was lucky to have the AB FAB Art Director, Laura Stewart on set.

Alexandra Grecco’s Fall is looking super cute and can be found at a few stores in Manhattan & Brooklyn (Dalaga) and only one on the West Coat in Portland, The Magic Hour Boutique. RL
