I have to admit, when Manolo’s were first the rage, I was just getting my business started and didn’t have HBO. I had no idea that it was so “Sex & the City” and that everyone had to have them…Cut to almost ten years later and I have to admit, I am quite blown away. Over the last couple of years, that lovely red sole of Christian Louboutin has slowly been making its way into ads /fashion spreads/movie sets, and finally is available for all. While they are the next Manolo type of investment, I love them and have been waiting for just the right pair to become my seasonal signature shoe. I think I found them, but can’t find a shot of the exact shoe. For those of you that see me regularly, you will just have to notice. But I do love this platform style. Fabulous with a pair of shorts, pencil skirt or little dress. RL
Saturday was my first full day back after the holidays. I shopped with a client and did a closet…it is definitely closet time. Tips to post holiday shop…Purchase items that can be considered early spring or are high ticket items that are on super sale. RL
Okay, so I am getting used to the daily blog thing…I will get there. Friday, I had a fitting with a client that opted with me to do a custom piece for a special event. We chose Madina Vadache who is really known for her bridal couture here in Seattle, but I must say, her ready to wear, as well as, her custom for all that is un-bridal is amazing. My client is going to look fabulous. The rest of day consisted of me prepping and studying spring upcoming…more to come…oh, I met some of my fabulous friends for Happy Hour at Umi and went over to the McCleod Residence to check out art and celebrate their first anniversary…oh, an then night cap at Venik. The personalized custom infused vodka’s rock, ah, that rounds out my theme. ..so much for a chill night. RL
I don’t know about you, but I am ready to wear something short and flirty and not have to throw on the tights, boots, coat, scarf…etc. It is always fun in December to start checking out the resort looks, prepping for Spring. In the Northwest, most everyone is gearing up to go on a tropical holiday about this time of year. The only thing that helps us get through the rainy season. I have been inspired by the new floral prints coming out this season that can be anchored with a solid pop color like purple or hot pink. I know that sounds a bit 80’s….maybe it is, but it is inspiring. Check out Balenciaga for killer prints. Gucci is mixing floral prints with bold red,, black and white statements. Most department stores such as Nordstrom and Saks, as well as mainstream stores such as Banana Republic and Club Monaco have resort collections already. Never to early to get a jump on your look for spring. Guess it’s time to get into the gym. RL

I also plan to give you wardrobe and closet tips that will definitely help take the stress out of dressing and allow it to become a fabulous experience. For those of you that were fans of les Egoistes’ Kouture Korner, we are definitely going to see lifestyle and fashion posts from elle s again. And, of course, we will always do our best to wrap up all with a sustainability message. My blogs will start on January 3, so stand by.
